My interest in customizing started when I collected my old childhood figures and began cleaning them up to display in my work-from-home office. I had seen the work of some awesome customisers, and it was they who inspired me to start making my own. 

 

When I started my journey as a customizer of vintage-style figures I struggled to find parts for my builds without having to spend a lot of money on buying figures from other ranges. To solve this problem, I began making my own custom parts and sharing them on various social media platforms. The positive feedback and questions I received inspired me to create a YouTube channel where I could demonstrate how these custom parts could be made, which led me to 3D printing. I began by printing Desert Octopus (DO) figures for personal use and started editing and digital kit-bashing them. Eventually, I started designing my own prints and put a few up for sale, which led to my entry into the world of Star Wars creativity. Over time, I got into 3D design and started the Trash Compactor Etsy store so that other customizers could also access fun and innovative custom parts and figures at an affordable price.

 

My first figures were the Tonnika sisters and Leesub, (now being made by Stan Solo) and I have since continued to create custom parts and figures for fellow customizers.

 

Trash Compactor is not about creating unique and rare limited figures, but rather about providing the canvas for customizers to create their own personal and unique figures. My goal is not to make art pieces, that's your job, but rather to provide items that can blend in seamlessly with vintage figures.

 

The store is designed to help customers find the parts they need to create figures that were never made or to add accessories to existing figures.

• Please note that none of the figures or model parts come with supports attached and they are cured and ready to be painted and handled.

• My prices are determined by the material used, the number of parts, and the design time required. Prices will be lower for items that can be quickly designed and printed, and higher for items that require more time to design, print, and prep.

• My figures have joints that fit, but they are designed to be slightly loose to make it easier for customers to remove the limbs for painting. There are various methods available to make the joints firmer, see Youtube.

• I understand that postage costs can be frustrating, but unfortunately, I do not control the prices. If you live far away from the United Kingdom, it will cost more to send your order.
