Shop Closed – Temporary Pause to Catch Up
I'm temporarily closing the shop while I work through a backlog of orders.
Last month, I received three months’ worth of orders in just a few weeks. I’m not sure if it was due to concerns about US tariffs (which don’t affect my shop), but the sudden spike has completely overwhelmed my production schedule. I’m making good progress, but the volume has caused delays. It’s a good problem to have—but not one that works well for customers, and it needs immediate attention.
I won’t reopen until I’m fully caught up. When I do, the shop will operate differently. Everything listed will be in stock and ready to ship. This current model, where people wait up to four weeks, doesn’t sit right with me. Running on a constant backlog isn’t sustainable, and it’s making it impossible to schedule time off or recover from long days. The goal is to reopen with a simpler, faster system that works better for everyone.
If you have an order in progress, I’m doing everything I can to get it out as quickly as possible. If your order shows as “completed” but the tracking says “TOFOLLOW,” that means it’s packed and ready, just waiting for Royal Mail to collect. Tracking will update automatically once it ships. If your order already has a tracking number, you can check updates directly through your Etsy purchase history.
There’s also a separate issue with Royal Mail. A large batch of parcels has gone missing, and I’ve had no meaningful response from them.
Dealing with the admin and chasing them down has added to the workload, so I’m pausing new orders to focus fully on resolving current ones.
I’m still replying to messages, but responses may take a little longer while I concentrate on getting orders out the door.
Thank you so much for your patience and support. I’ll reopen once the backlog is cleared and the Royal Mail issue is under control. When that happens, everything will be in stock, and orders will ship with a reliable two-week turnaround.
