Trash Compactors designs are made from scratch and are sometimes also edits of figures redesigned with the original creator's permission. I pay special attention to detail and strive to create a vintage-style stance, look and feel. 
I prefer to design from scratch rather than using scanned designs or kitbashing. Nothing wrong with either, it's just my preference. I take extra care to ensure that the detail is high so it is not softened too much when you painted. This gives the figures a more vintage look and feel. When it comes to the heads, vintage figure faces don't really have eye sockets which is fine but annoying if I want to enlarge a head to a 6-inch scale, so I usually have multiple designed versions of each in case I do decide to print in different sizes.
